2005 Whidbey Island Mudder One Speed Promotions is pleased to be a part of the 2005 Indie XC Mountain Bike Series with the sixth annual Whidbey Island Mudder on May 15, 2005. A new format on a new course, some great prizes, and season points for those competing in the Indie Series! And as always, we'll have food and water on site for riders.
We'd like to give a special thanks to those who enable us to have a great prize list: Clif Bar, Full Speed Ahead, Half Link Bicycle Shop, Heggenes Arboreal, and Island Recycling. |

The Course and the Format This ain't you grandma's Mudder (nor the Mudder you did last year)! This year we're introducing a new race format, the technical shortcourse. Rather than complete a specific number of laps, racers compete for a set length of time; when racers come through the start area after time is up they get the bell and have one lap to go! |
Registration Info Day of race registration only!
Registration Fee: $25 Juniors: $15 Registration opens at 8 AM and closes 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of your category. |

Driving Directions From the Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry (South End of Whidbey Island): Travel about 7 miles on SR 525 (this is further than the previous venue), and turn right on Thompson Road. Follow the signs on Thompson Road to the parking lot, which will be on the left. Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry info.
From the North: Take SR 20 south onto Whidbey Island. A few miles south of Coupeville, the highway becomes SR 525, which will take you though the stoplight in Freeland (the intersection with Fish Road and Main Street). About 3 miles after the stoplight, turn left onto Thompson Road, and follow the signs to the parking lot on the left. Keystone/Port Townsend Ferry info. There will be signs on SR 525 in both directions indicating the turn for Thompson Road. Note that if your vehicle is over 7'6" there is an additional fee for the ferries; if you have your bike on your roof rack, removing your saddle may keep you below the limit. Our team of lawyers advises us to mention... All participants will be required to sign a waiver of release. Under 18 will require a parent or guardian signature. Helmets must be worn at all times while on the course. This race is not NORBA sanctioned. [Home] |
